Katkame on joining Team Vitality’s CS2 academy: “My dream has come true”

Team Vitality Academy sniper Ulysses “Katkame” Thibault discussed how he joined the organization’s academy roster in the latest episode of the All About Counter-Strike podcast and highlighted the club’s main advantage.
On joining Team Vitality Academy
I’ve been a fan of Team Vitality for a long time, even back when I was playing a lot of Fortnite. My dream has come true—I couldn’t pass it up. I was waiting, getting some advice, and, if I remember correctly, the academy was announced in April. All the fans were happy—they’d been waiting for this for a long time. So it was great.
On the strengths of the Team Vitality organization
First and foremost, I was impressed by the professionalism of this organization; it was very different from all the teams I’d been on before. Right now, the most important thing I’ve learned is to strive to be a true professional—that’s a big step for me. The first major milestone. I thought to myself, “I’ll do everything in my power.” I kept working hard to improve my skills.
On international rosters
I’ve always thought it’s better to play for an international roster. For example, if you look at the top teams right now, they all have international rosters. <...> So that’s really important. Plus, I’ve already mastered English.
In the first part of the podcast, Ulysses “Katkame” Thibault talked about how he was introduced to Counter-Strike in early childhood, started playing matches on FACEIT, and later joined GenOne’s academy roster as a stand-in.
