Lazer Cats signed tripex17 to their CS2 starting roster as captain
The Ukrainian esports organization Lazer Cats announced on the club’s official page on social media platform X changes to its Counter-Strike 2 main roster, with Denis “tripex17” Gaponov taking on the role of the team’s new in-game leader.
Meet our new IGL. tripex17 officially joins Lazer Cats as the new captain. After weeks of testing, training, and playing together, we’re ready to take the next step. Welcome to the pack, Denis.
The Ukrainian esports player has been competing on the professional scene since 2023. The 22-year-old Denis “tripex17” Gaponov has represented PLUSH, Sabre Esports, and Valtrion throughout his career, and was a member of BIG Academy from January 20 to May 13, 2026.
