Pimp reflected on the increase in the number of small CS2 LAN tournaments

Analyst Jakob “Pimp” Winneche published a post on his personal X page, where he discussed increasing the number of local tournaments and assessed the prospects for their further development.
One of the main advantages of VRS is the resurgence of local tournaments.
They disappeared due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but are now gradually making a comeback. There will likely be even more of them in 2027. These LAN events give many players the opportunity to make a living. If this trend continues, more promising teams will emerge on the pro scene, and the number of tournament organizers will grow. I’m all for it!
Earlier, on the Counter-Points podcast, Pimp discussed the appointment of Filip “NEO” Kubski as Astralis’ coach, assessed the prospects of the revamped team, and reflected on the role of coaches in the Counter-Strike 2 pro scene.
