Sharks Esports rifler Daniel “rdnzao” Monteiro spoke in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026 about the recent match against TYLOO in the first stage of the tournament, and also noted what the team needs to work on.
We played well on the first map. But after that, we knew it would be tough. It’s disappointing because on Anubis, as far as I remember, we were leading 9-6—we could have won. ...> We need to work on the third map—we need to be able to pull ourselves together and close it out. That’s the mindset we need to have.
It was very important for us because all five of us are rookies, and for me, this is my first Major. I would have liked to perform better here, but that doesn’t change the fact that it was important.
Earlier, Sharks Esports finished 12th–14th at the IEM Cologne Major 2026. In a first-stage match, the team lost to TYLOO: 13–6 on Nuke, 5–13 on Inferno, and 10–13 on Anubis.
