Tournament organizer Andrey “MPKBK” Ermakov has announced WINLINE CIS LAN #9, a Counter-Strike 2 LAN tournament with a $50,000 prize pool. The announcement was posted on MPKBK’s Telegram account.
The competition will take place from October 20 to 23 in Moscow. Sixteen teams will participate in the tournament, and registration will be open from September 27 to September 30. Applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis; however, teams with higher VRS rankings will be given priority during selection. The registration fee is $3,000 per team.
All group stage and playoff matches will be played in LAN format. The playoffs will follow a single-elimination bracket. All matches, except for the best-of-5 (bo5) final, will be best-of-3 (bo3).
The tournament’s status within the VRS system has not yet been confirmed. Seeding will be determined based on the Valve rankings, which will be released in October. After applications are submitted, HLTV will determine which stages and matches of WINLINE CIS LAN #9 will be counted toward the rankings.
At the recent WINLINE CIS LAN #7, held September 13–16 in Moscow, Nemiga Gaming emerged victorious. In the tournament’s grand final, the team defeated Team Nemesis 3–1 in maps and earned $20,000.
