The developer of Counter-Strike Nexon has announced the imminent closure of the project

NEXON has officially announced that it will completely discontinue support for its shooter, Counter-Strike Nexon, at the end of September this year.
The developers of the project, which launched in October 2014, published an official statement on the Steam community. In the statement, they expressed their sincere gratitude to users for the twelve-year journey they shared. The first phase of the game’s shutdown was the discontinuation of sales of all in-game paid items and paid DLCs, which took effect on June 24. The complete shutdown of servers and the closure of official communities are scheduled for late September 2026. The developers promised to provide a detailed schedule for the final phase in a separate announcement at a later date.
Counter-Strike Nexon was a unique spin-off based on the CS 1.6 engine, combining classic competitive modes with PvE elements and a zombie theme. Despite the servers being shut down, the game’s collectible cards remain available for trading.
