The new season of the Feitos no Brasil scouting project, aimed at finding talent for MIBR Academy, has kicked off.

The Brazilian esports organization MIBR has officially announced the launch of the second season of its large-scale Feitos no Brasil project, aimed at selecting young players for its Counter-Strike 2 academy roster.

Registration is now open and will remain so until the end of this week. The full competition structure and stages for the new season are as follows:

  • Stage 1: Registration (starting October 14).
    • Candidates fill out an online form, attach a one-and-a-half-minute video introduction about themselves, a link to their best gameplay highlights, and a photo of their gaming setup.
  • Stage 2: Public Evaluation (starting October 19).
    • Two-time world champion Renato “nak” Nakano will conduct an open review of the submitted applications and participant profiles during his live streams on Twitch, YouTube, and kick.
  • Stage 3: Main Championship (November 5–13).
    • The administration selects the 40 most talented esports players, who are divided into 8 mixed teams. The teams compete against each other over 7 days of intense matches, which are officially streamed.
  • Stage 4: Announcement of Winners (November 19).
    • Based on the championship results and the management’s multidisciplinary criteria, at least the top 3 participants will sign professional contracts with MIBR.

The launch of the new scouting season comes amid a major crisis in the Brazilian Counter-Strike pro scene-Strike 2, triggered by a decree from President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva imposing a complete ban on betting activities in the country effective October 6, 2026. Due to the loss of key sponsors, the organizers canceled the BetBoom Storm #5 and #6 championships, and the clubs Keyd Stars and LOUD completely shut down their CS2 divisions. Notably, LOUD disbanded the Largados y Pelados roster even before the official announcement, despite having paid May’s dues and funded a boot camp in Portugal. The ODDIK organization also found itself forced to disband its roster and suspend esports activities, announcing this on September 23—three days before the president signed the government document.

According to analyst Luis “peacemaker” Tadeu and journalist Duncan “Thorin” Shields, depriving teams of betting revenue will lead to the bankruptcy of many organizations and destroy the local scene at the height of its prosperity. Under the current circumstances, MIBR’s initiative to scout young talent remains one of the few opportunities to preserve the Brazilian ecosystem.

Throughout 2026, the MIBR Academy roster underwent major personnel changes, resulting in not a single player remaining on the active roster. In January, the organization signed Marcos “Jerr1” Meyer, but by summer, the club had begun a mass exodus of players. In June, Bruno “brn$” Araújo left the team; in July, Vitor “stormzyn” Yamauchi was let go; and at the end of that same month, Lucas “lkz” Vicente, Felipe “fl4sh” Porfirio, and Jerr1 were benched. fl4sh’s final departure from the organization took place in September. Currently, the only players under contract with the club are coach Rainan “Faraó” Carvalho, who has held his position since March 2025, as well as lkz and Jerr1, who are inactive.

The first round of Feitos no Brasil scouting took place in August 2021. At that time, experts selected 20 players from more than 600 submitted applications, and based on the results of the final matches, three esports players were immediately offered contracts with the club. One of the graduates of that pilot season was Felipe “insani” Yuji, who later joined MIBR’s main roster.
