Aurora Gaming rifler Ali “Wicadia” Haydar Yalçın shared his thoughts on the victory over 9z Team in an interview at the Thunderpick World Championship 2026, highlighted his team’s strengths, and assessed their performance on Cache.
I think we just had an off day last time. The guys were sick and didn’t get enough sleep, so they couldn’t play their best. Today, we were much better prepared for 9z’s style and focused on CS. That’s exactly why we managed to secure a decisive victory.
Communication is our strong suit. We communicate well on TeamSpeak—absolutely everyone calls out their actions and offers ideas. Thanks to this, everything runs smoothly on the server.
I think our team performs pretty well on Cache. Of course, we haven’t played on it in a while—we’ve only had one or two official matches there. We need to practice more on that map and improve our communication. Everyone feels very comfortable playing on this map.
Today, Aurora Gaming defeated 9z Team 2-0 in maps during the group stage of the Thunderpick World Championship 2026. The Wicadia team advanced to the tournament’s playoffs, where they’ll face FURIA tomorrow.
