A typhoon in Shanghai prevented participants in The International 2026 from reaching the tournament venue.

Flights for players from PARIVISION and Team Yandex were canceled due to a typhoon in the host city of The International 2026—with four days remaining until the tournament begins.
Flights are being canceled in Shanghai and other eastern regions of China due to the approaching typhoon. According to the Associated Press, more than 1,300 flights have been canceled at two airports in Shanghai. At least the players from PARIVISION and Team Yandex have encountered problems. Both teams were unable to fly to Shanghai on their scheduled flights. Members of other teams have also reported flight issues.

A typhoon is raging in Shanghai. Mass flight cancellations are already underway. Mira and Yandex can’t get to the venue.
There’s a chance they’ll be late for the tournament or arrive at the last minute. This will have an extremely negative impact on their initial form, since jet lag takes 3–4 days to recover from.
Team Vision is in the same boat.
In 2026, The International will be held in Shanghai—for the second time in history. The season’s main championship will begin on August 13, and its total prize pool currently exceeds $2.69 million, up from the initial $1,600,000.
