Commentator Rustam “Adekvat” Mavlyutov summarized the results of the second day of the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup on his personal Telegram channel.

The results of the second day clarified the standings quite a bit, especially in Group [D]:

- 1W, LGD, and Yandex will battle it out for the top spot in the group; intuitively, Yandex still seems like the most interesting team of the three.
- OG and VP really blew everyone away. It’s as if Yopaj has completely forgotten how to play Dota.

In Group [C], VG disappointed while MOUZ impressed. I thought yesterday’s match against Spirit was a fluke, but apparently not. They’re playing just like they did at the end of last year—cheerfully and energetically crushing their opponents all over the map.

Things were a bit dull in [A] and [B]. The favorites had their moments, but they turned the tide just in time by capitalizing on their opponents’ misplays and lack of coordination.

We’ll continue tomorrow!
