Astini commented on the consequences of TaiLung’s suspension from the professional Dota 2 scene
Former Team Nemesis coach Filipe “Astini” Astini Ribeiro spoke out on his personal X page about the suspension of Santiago Gustavo “TaiLung” Olivosa Agüero from professional Dota 2 matches.
I think some people don’t fully understand the true magnitude of what happened. Imagine: a person has a dream of winning The International, and someone robs him of that dream by rigging a match. It seems that not everyone has realized yet just how serious this incident is.
I’m not happy about TaiLung’s ban in and of itself. What’s more, I believe that if only he is banned, it will be a huge loss for the South American Dota 2 community.
The only thing that makes me happy is that this marks the beginning of the dismantling of a massive mafia ring involving more than 40 players. In Peru, it’s practically impossible to become a professional player because you’re forced to play “322” in entry-level teams.
Earlier, former Team Nemesis coach Filipe “Astini” Astini Ribeiro criticized, on his personal X page, the comments made by LGD Gaming offlaner Adrián “Wisper” Céspedes Dobles in support of Santiago Gustavo “TaiLung” Olivoso Agüero, who is accused of participating in match-fixing.
