BetBoom Team CEO on the top two at EWC 2026 in Dota 2: “This time, we lacked composure.”

…> EWC // Dota 2. We took 2nd place after losing to PV in the grand final. We fully deserved this outcome: we outplayed ourselves, made a ton of mistakes, and overall, this time we just didn’t have the guts—we lacked composure. We’re flying to Shanghai (or rather, we’ve already arrived) to draw our conclusions, and after that we’ll take stock of the season. Whatever it turns out to be, the next one will definitely be different—not just for us, but for most Tier 1 teams as well.

Bundle. Many people, including us, tried to add a little hype to their support builds, but it didn’t work out :) I could list dozens of reasons here for what went wrong, but in situations where Valve has the final say, there’s no point. In recent years, many people in the industry have been putting in tremendous effort to popularize the discipline, but many initiatives fall apart due to a basic lack of dialogue with professional organizations. Either way, we’ll keep trying, and maybe next year you’ll see Dora (and perhaps others as well) in our team’s roster. It’s a matter of principle at this point. <…>
