Data miners have found a model of the “Dark Carnival” event’s treasure carousel in the game files.
The DotaFlow team on Telegram has published evidence suggesting that a treasure carousel with 10 vending machines may appear in Dota 2 as part of the “Dark Carnival” event.

The model lacks textures. However:
- There are polygons revealing a gear in the center and 10 pedestals
- The model contains 10 “bones”
Additionally, a commented-out segment named “map_reward_automaton_treasure” with `max_grants: 10` was found in the `dark_carnival.eventdef` file
So, overall, everything lines up so far. A treasure chest with 10 automatons (5 existing automatons + 5 new ones, as mentioned by Stepan [Stepan’s Dota Dataminer. — Ed.])
The reward is also listed with the prefix “map_reward.” It’s possible that the chest can be obtained during the event in one of the map segments
Earlier, Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman revealed on his personal Telegram channel that the upcoming mini-games in the “Dark Carnival” in-game event might be related to Pudge and Hoodwink, based on his analysis of the game files.
