Valve has released a comic dedicated to the “Dark Carnival” event

The Dota 2 developers have published a comic on the game’s official website that provides the backstory for the in-game “Dark Carnival” event.

The comic tells the story of how the main characters—Tresdin (Legion Commander) and Hoodwink—ended up on the Master of the Arena’s train, where the events of the “Dark Carnival” unfold. The story depicts the events leading up to the start of the event.

“The Dark Carnival” is a new large-scale story event in Dota 2, divided into three chapters. By progressing through the interactive map using tickets earned in matches, players can receive free rewards, treasure chests, and themed cosmetic items.
