DM on the match against PARIVISION at the 2026 Esports World Cup: “Obviously, they’re a strong team, so it won’t be easy.”
Team Yandex offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin commented on the victory over Team Spirit and spoke about the match against PARIVISION in the tournament’s playoffs during an interview at the Esports World Cup 2026.
On the victory over Team Spirit
It was a series against an excellent team. It wasn’t easy, but it wasn’t exactly super difficult either. We controlled both games, so everything went well.
On the break between the quarterfinals and semifinals
We played some ranked matches and practiced with a pretty good team. We just did a little prep for today’s match.
[Question: “I’m curious—what do practices look like at this stage of the tournament, since some of the eliminated teams have already flown home and can’t play? Who do you practice with?”]
We trained with the team that’s playing right now.
[Question: “From the other half of the bracket?”]
Yes, from the other side.
On the match against PARIVISION
We’ll do our best. We’ll see how it goes. There’s no point in speculating—we’ll just try to draft and play well, focus on the basics, and see what happens. Obviously, they’re a strong team, so it won’t be easy.
[Question: “Do you have any advantages in terms of drafting or hero pool?”]
To be honest, I have no idea, because I’m not the main drafter on the team. I just hope we make it through one more round.
Right now, Team Yandex and PARIVISION are playing in the semifinals of the Esports World Cup 2026 in Dota 2; the current score is 1-1. The winner will face BetBoom Team, and the loser will face Vici Gaming. The tournament will run through July 19.
