Dota 2 Update from August 8, 2026: Snapfire’s model has been updated
On the night of August 8, the Dota 2 developers released a technical update. The changes affected localization, in-game VPK files, and visual elements for Snapfire.
List of Changes
- English localization has been updated.
- Snapfire’s model has been updated, and her shot effects have been changed.
- The in-game VPK archives and related resources have been updated.
- The client and server components of the game have been updated for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Steam Workshop tools and resources have been updated.
The update size is 134 MB.
Earlier, Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman discussed on his personal Telegram channel the fixes for bugs related to Ancient Apparition’s incorrect Ice Blast cooldown and Rubick’s interaction with Winter Wyvern’s upgraded Eldwurm’s Edda.
