Fayde on Poor Rangers: “In my opinion, this team is a roll of the dice: it’s either hit or miss.”

GamerLegion offlaner Viktor “Fayde” Zuev spoke in an interview at the 2026 Dota 2 Esports World Cup about the Poor Rangers’ current form, discussed the sacrifices that allowed him to break into esports, and highlighted his own strengths.
On the matches against Poor Rangers
We hadn’t played them in a long time before this win. In my opinion, this team is a bit of a wild card: it’s hit or miss. They either play well or they don’t. So we’re just focusing on ourselves and feeling pretty confident.
On the sacrifices he had to make for esports
There are many. You have to devote a lot of time to your daily routine just to train. And you also have to cope with stress, because it’s entirely up to you how much you improve or advance. You have to constantly analyze what you’re doing.
So I’d say it’s very difficult and sometimes gets pretty dreary, which is why you need a lot of perseverance.
About my strengths
I think I’m pretty good at analyzing my own mistakes and analyzing the game in general. Because, as far as I can tell, I reached a good level pretty quickly. Yeah, and I always try to identify patterns in what we’re doing wrong or what we can improve—both individually and as a team. I think that’s my greatest strength.
