gpk on BetBoom Team’s expectations for the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2: “We want to finish in the top 3.”

BetBoom Team mid laner Danil “gpk” Skutin spoke about the match and shared the team’s expectations for the tournament in an interview following their victory over Poor Rangers in the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup.
On why the first map was tougher than the second
I don’t know, maybe we just weren’t fully awake yet. We were playing against our friends from our region, and it’s always tough for us to play against them.
On team communication during the first map
We talked about not making bad plays—we just needed to farm our items and wait for our moment.
On expectations for the tournament
We want to finish in the top 3.
On why the team has gotten stronger
We have a psychologist, and we changed coaches. We just want to play more professionally.
On the team we’d like to play against
Maybe PARIVISION or Team Yandex. I think they’re the best here.
Earlier, Danil “gpk” Skutin spoke about fatigue during the season, noting that after DreamLeague he adapted to the busy schedule, and also shared that he’s been playing Dota 2 since he was 12 and has only taken a six-month break once, spending that time playing PUBG.
