gpk on BetBoom Team’s results at the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2: “We’re playing better with every series.”

BetBoom Team mid laner Danil “gpk” Skutin spoke about the match and commented on the team’s group stage results in an interview following their victory over GamerLegion in the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup.
On what changed between the first and second maps that helped improve their performance
I just had a bad first game. I changed my starting build and figured out what I needed to do on the second map to play better.
On whether there was any tension before the final series of the group stage
I don’t think so—we were relaxed. Even if we had lost 0-2, we would still have finished second in the group, so at the start of this series, we thought we just needed to play Dota 2. Maybe test out some heroes, maybe just play well. We want to play more games.
On the team’s performance in the group stage
I think I’m happy. We’re playing better with every series. We want to get a better feel for our game.
On surprises in the group stage
No, not really.
Earlier, Team Yandex offlaner Dmitry “DM” Dorokhin, in an interview following the victory over LGD Gaming in the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup, discussed the reasons behind the team’s confident performance, explained the choice of Underlord, and shared his impressions of playing for Team Yandex and the atmosphere within the team.
