Lunar Horse Trophy 8 Preview: Format, Roster, Day 1 Schedule
Tomorrow, July 19, the group stage matches of the Lunar Horse Trophy 8 Dota 2 tournament will begin. The tournament format, team rosters, prize pool distribution, and schedule for the first day of play are detailed below.
Format
In the group stage, all participants are grouped together in a single group, where each team will play every other team in a round-robin format, with matches played to the best of three. The top four teams will advance to the upper bracket, the next two to the lower bracket, and the rest will be eliminated from the competition. The playoffs will follow a double-elimination format: best-of-three series, with the grand final being a best-of-three series.
