Team Liquid’s Technical Director Ben “Noxville” Stenheisen shared statistics on X regarding the longest streaks of character bans in the professional Dota 2 scene.
...> Alchemist was banned 103 times in a row over the course of several days in January 2025. Dragon Knight came close with 99 bans. Chen, Lone Druid, Naga Siren, Tiny, and Io have several streaks exceeding 25 consecutive maps. The two most-banned heroes of all time—Batrider and Puck—have streaks of only 41 and 18 games, respectively.
Game statistics from the Dota 2 tournament at the 2026 Games of the Future were previously released. The most frequently banned heroes were Treant Protector, Lone Druid, and Puck, with the first two being banned as early as the initial stage.
