Noxville published the results of a Monte Carlo simulation of the group stage of The International 2026

Personal archives of Team Liquid Technical Director Ben “Noxville” Stenhuysen.

Team Liquid’s Technical Director Ben “Noxville” Stenheisen has published the results of a Monte Carlo simulation of The International 2026 group stage, taking into account the results of past tournaments, and also shared his in-game predictions.

Here’s my first set of predictions for the group stage. It turned out to be extremely boring—I’ll adjust it after the groups are announced. The last few teams, in my opinion, are particularly difficult to predict (plus, miracles always happen at TI).

Noxville’s Predictions for the Group Stage of The International 2026

  • Undefeated team: TEAM VISION (PARIVISION);
  • Teams with 4 wins and 1 loss: Team Yandex and Team Falcons;
  • Teams advancing: Aurora Gaming, Boom Boys, Team Spirit, Team Liquid, and Iron Wing (1w Team);
  • Eliminated: Nigma Galaxy, Xtreme Gaming, LGD Gaming, Vici Gaming, and OG;
  • Teams with 1 win and 4 losses: GamerLegion and Team Resilience;
  • Team with no wins: HULIGANI (L1GA TEAM).

Earlier, Team Liquid’s technical director Ben “Noxville” Stenheizen discussed the longest streaks of hero bans in Dota 2. Alchemist was banned 103 times in a row over the course of several days, while Dragon Knight was banned 99 times.
