skiter on the Esports World Cup 2026: “It’s become a tradition for us to lose the first game of the tournament. I’m used to it by now.”
Team Falcons captain Oliver “skiter” Lepko spoke in an interview following the series against BetBoom Team during the group stage of the 2026 Esports World Cup in Dota 2. He discussed the draw in the match, assessed Clinkz, and commented on the team’s traditionally poor start to tournaments.
On the series against BetBoom Team
It’s become a classic for us—losing the first map at a tournament. I’m used to it by now. [And why do you consistently lose the first map at every tournament?] I have no idea. If we knew the reason, we would have fixed it a long time ago.
On Clinkz
He’s a decent hero. Actually, we were forced to pick him because our opponents banned most of the long-range carries against Treant Protector. So he’s perfectly playable. I wouldn’t say he’s overpowered or too strong.
On the second game of the series
Let’s put it this way: at a certain point in the match, ATF and Malr1ne just coordinated, said they needed to farm a little more, and after that, the game would go like clockwork. And we basically realized that victory was already in the bag.
Earlier, Team Falcons’ offlaner Oliver “skiter” Lepko spoke in an interview at BLAST Slam VII about playing with stand-in Said Samail “SumaiL” Hassan, Drow Ranger in the current meta, and the team’s future roster.
