Team Yandex, Team Falcons, LGD Gaming, and OG emerged victorious on Day 3 of the group stage at The International 2026

Team Yandex, OG, Team Falcons, and LGD Gaming won their matches in the first bracket of the third day of The International 2026. They defeated Team Resilience, L1GA TEAM (HULIGANI), GamerLegion, and Xtreme Gaming, respectively.

Team Resilience opened the scoring in their match against Team Yandex, but Alexander “Accell” Litvinenko’s team went on to secure a swift victory and even the series. In the third game, Yandex held the advantage even before the mid-game began; the team subsequently built on that lead, capturing the opponent’s objectives, and finished the map with a threefold lead in hero kills.

By the end of the first map, OG had built a 40,000-gold lead, allowing them to start the series with a win. On the second map, the teams were evenly matched, but starting at the 36-minute mark, “Liga” pulled ahead and subsequently evened the series. The third game was controlled by the Filipino team, which played more confidently on the lanes and solidified its lead in the mid-game.

The Chinese clubs started the series with a split—first, Xtreme won, despite a 10,000-gold deficit by the end of the game, while on the second map, LGD proved stronger, securing a four-to-one kill lead. The final game ended in favor of the South American team.

On the first map, the Falcons and GL were evenly matched, but shortly before “Tron” fell, the Middle Eastern club took control of the situation. The second game followed a similar pattern but ended in favor of the North American team. On the final map, the Falcons performed more confidently, winning 31–12.

As a result, Yandex, LGD, and the Falcons are now in the 2-2 subgroup; Resilience, XG, GL, and OG are in the 1-3 subgroup; and L1GA has been eliminated from the competition.

The International 2026 is taking place in Shanghai from August 13 to 23. The group stage of the tournament is being held using the Swiss system, which will determine the three teams advancing to the playoffs and the three teams that will be eliminated from the championship. The ten remaining teams will compete in a single-elimination round, where half of the teams will be eliminated.
