The new Axe model caused numerous critical crashes in Dota 2

After being added to the game, the robotic version of Axe caused numerous critical errors in Dota 2.

Creating an Axe illusion, activating Blade Mail or Phase Boots, or using any other ability that applied visual effects to the hero caused a critical crash for every player in the lobby. Valve was forced to remove the ability to select the hero in matchmaking, but within two hours, they fixed all the bugs and restored it to the draft pool.

Previously, the developers released several updates for Dota 2 that fixed bugs with the new Axe model, addressed library and client files, and made changes to the Steam Workshop tools.
