tOfu on being eliminated from BLAST Slam VII: “It just wasn’t our tournament. We’re focused on the upcoming major championships.”

Team Liquid support Eric “tOfu” Engel commented on his team’s elimination from the tournament in an interview at BLAST Slam VII and shared his future plans.
On the results of BLAST Slam VII
Thanks for the re-invite and the fresh chance. We had some setbacks, though we certainly gave it our all. We’ve been playing online since the break. I think other teams have simply improved faster. We’re good at picking up on a lot of nuances, but right now other teams are just better.
The losses are tough to take, but our spirits are still high. It just wasn’t our tournament. We’re focused on the upcoming major championships. We’ll give it our all—just not here.
On plans for the near future
To come back and win. Ideally, you should always win, but there are ups and downs. Maybe we need to revisit some things, go back to the basics. I don’t think we’re that far behind, but things definitely aren’t perfect. I apologize to the fans. We’re not giving up.
