“Very few people can go 24/7 without making a single mistake”: Maelstorm on streamer quotes

Commentator Vladimir “Maelstorm” Kuzminov spoke on stream about streamers’ quotes in the media and pointed out the downsides of expensive computers.
On streamers’ quotes in the media
Streamers are people who constantly spout *** [nonsense]. Very few people can go 24/7 without making a single mistake, especially when they’re acting on emotion, playing themselves, or watching a game while betting money. At some point, their emotions will get the better of them; these emotions will sometimes be irrational and cause them to say nonsense. I’m one of them myself; sometimes someone in the chat can piss me off, and I can start getting super aggressive. You’ve seen this many times.
Every time one of my quotes gets taken and pasted somewhere, and it makes me feel bad or upsets someone close to me, I think of only one thing: what an idiot I am. Because if your quote was taken and pasted somewhere, and it turned out to be *** [nonsense], that means you said *** [nonsense]. So why blame someone else?
The fact that they’ll edit it to make it more provocative... I don’t remember anything ever being edited in a way that completely distorted the meaning. If there’s a topic that could potentially hurt you, don’t talk about it—that’s it, and no one will edit anything.
On choosing a computer
Basically, I want to upgrade my computer, but my problem is that I live in both Kazakhstan and Moscow. And I need a computer in both places, but I only want to upgrade it in one place—and even then, I don’t really want to. I want another line of graphics cards or processors to come out so that mine are completely outdated, and then I’ll upgrade. Well, I need to upgrade in Moscow already, because Dota doesn’t work there anymore, and if Dota doesn’t work, I can’t stream.
But in any case, I won’t be getting some super-high-end setup, because I’ve realized that top-of-the-line PCs are just a waste of money. You can get something that’s not top-of-the-line for way less money, but it’ll still work fine for you, and a lot of games—maybe not the very latest ones—will run on very good settings, but it’ll cost way less. Plus, you’ll often have fewer issues with overheating and other *** [nonsense]. Well, unless you have a ton of cash and sit at your computer all day long.
Earlier, Vladimir shared his expectations for the regional qualifiers for The International 2026: “But I’m glad that there will be teams that deserve to qualify for The International but won’t be there. That means the qualifiers will be interesting.”
