KD in PUBG Mobile shows how effectively a player eliminates opponents. This metric is displayed in the season stats and helps you roughly assess a player’s shooting, tactics, and survival skills. In this guide, we’ll explain what KD means in PUBG Mobile, where to find it, what’s considered a good score, and how to improve it on your phone.

KD stands for Kill/Death. In PUBG Mobile, this metric reflects the average number of kills per match. The higher the KD, the more opponents a player eliminates in a single match.
When comparing KD ratios, you need to take into account rank, game mode, and the number of matches. There are more bots at lower ranks, so a high ratio doesn’t always indicate strong play. A KD ratio after five matches is also less meaningful than one after fifty or a hundred games.
In the current system, the total number of kills is divided by the number of matches played: K/D = number of kills ÷ number of matches. For example, if a player has 120 frags in 40 matches, their KD is 3. Wins without deaths also count as matches played.
Stats for different seasons and modes are calculated separately. Therefore, your K/D in Solo mode may differ from your stats in Squad mode.
The benchmark depends on your rank, mode, map, and the number of matches played. You can get a rough estimate of your performance using the table below.
| KD | What It Means |
| Less than 1 | Low: The player gets less than one kill per match. |
| 1 to 2 | A typical result for a beginner or someone who plays infrequently. |
| 2 to 3 | A good K/D ratio for most players. |
| 3 to 5 | A high score, especially at the “Crown” rank and above. |
| Over 5 | A very high score for an experienced player. |
To improve your K/D ratio, you need to consistently get more kills in every match. A single good game won’t make much of a difference if you’ve already played hundreds of matches on your account.
To quickly improve your shooting, you can practice at the shooting range and in team battles. However, frags from these modes do not count toward the Classic Season KD.
Metro Royale stats are tracked separately and do not affect the KD in Classic mode. You can view them in your Metro Royale profile or in the current chapter’s stats.
In Metro Royale, KD does not provide a complete assessment of a player. The main goal of the mode is to collect loot and reach the evacuation point. A player with few kills can regularly carry out valuable items and earn more than aggressive opponents.
