Riot Games has unveiled the list of organizations that will partner with the VALORANT Champions Tour starting in 2027. The program includes 32 clubs—8 teams each from the Americas, EMEA, the Pacific region, and China.
According to Riot Games, more than 100 organizations expressed interest in partnering. During the selection process, the developers considered each organization’s contribution to the VALORANT community, engagement with fans and content creation, financial stability, infrastructure, and competitive performance. Particular attention was paid to clubs capable of attracting an audience and building a fan base over the long term.
Earlier, Evil Geniuses and Global Esports—which were not selected as partners for the new cycle—announced the end of their esports operations. EG will cease operations on November 2 due to limited sponsorship revenue and rising expenses, while Global Esports had been considering withdrawal even before Riot’s selection process.
After failing to make the program, M80, FOKUS, and S8UL Esports also announced their withdrawal from VALORANT, while FURIA has not yet decided whether to continue competing in the discipline.
However, the lack of partner status does not bar a club from competing in the discipline: starting in 2027, teams will be able to qualify for tournaments through open qualifiers. Partners will receive direct invitations to the Kickoff, but further advancement to the Cups, Masters, and Champions will depend on their results.
