Team Yandex’s explainer, Ramazan “Castle” Atalaev, discussed the team’s chances of successfully taking on Team Spirit in a post-match interview during the MLBB Continental Championships Season 8, reflected on new picks for the experience lane, and commented on the lack of fighter characters in the gold lane during the team’s drafts.

On whether Team Yandex has reached Team Spirit’s level of strength

So far, I don’t think so. We need to practice for a couple more weeks, and maybe we’ll be able to put up a fight. Unfortunately, I can’t say for sure, but I know what we’re missing.

On the appearance of Atlas, Karmilla, and Balmond in the Experience tier

I happened to catch a glimpse of that Atlas, but I won’t be trying him out. Carmilla is good.

Balmond... Well, Balmond might be an option, actually. I’ve been thinking about him. But he needs a buff—he needs at least one or two buffs—so he can be effective on the experience lane like he used to be; it’s been a long time since he was a top pick.

On Team Yandex’s lack of fighter picks for the Gold lane

Black March doesn’t have an ego, so he doesn’t pick Pakito or Freya. Expecting him to pick fighters… Sure, he’s ready, but he just doesn’t want to pick them.

Team Yandex defeated CyberHero 2–0 on the third day of the MLBB Continental Championships Season 8 regular season. Currently, Castle shares first place with Team Spirit in the tournament’s group standings and has nine points.
