ONIC played a good match. The team prepared thoroughly for the playoffs. That’s all there is to it. ONIC is a good team. I expected a serious and difficult series, but we knew we were capable of winning. And yet we lost.

Yes, we made a couple of mistakes. Even in the drafts—we tried to be creative and pick meta-based compositions. But ONIC’s synergy was very difficult to overcome; our opponents played exceptionally well as a team. It’s no surprise—they’ve been playing together for a long time.

We could have come up with something, but I still see a pattern here. Outcomes like this happen when the best teams face off; even though Aurora Gaming was close to victory, the ONIC players were in sync with each other and demonstrated a completely different level of play. I think our opponents played much better as a team today.

That’s the nature of the competitive scene. The club isn’t shutting down; we still have a lot of work and tournaments ahead of us, including the World Championship. I think we’re in a very good position right now, both as a team and as an organization. So yes, we’re moving forward and preparing for new challenges. Of course, the players are disappointed with the result, but that’s how it goes. It is what it is.
