MOONTON Games has revealed details about the MLBB Championship Tour SEA 2026

The developers of Mobile Legends: Bang Bang have explained how the MLBB Championship Tour SEA 2026 will unfold—a qualifying tournament for the M8 World Championship for teams from Southeast Asia that are not participating in the MPL.
According to a press release from MOONTON Games, a total of 12 teams from the Southeast Asian region will participate in the competition, divided into Groups A, B, C, and D. Teams in Groups A, B, and C will include rosters from Myanmar’s MLBB Super League, Cambodia’s and Singapore’s MLBB Professional League, as well as local qualifiers from Vietnam, East Timor, Brunei, and Laos. Thailand will be represented by two teams in the competition as the host country. The organizers clarified that other countries hosting the event will also enjoy this privilege in future MCT SEA tournaments.
Group D consists of teams from the Philippine and Indonesian MLBB Development League (MDL), along with Malaysian teams from the MLBB Academy League. Unlike the teams in Groups A, B, and C, these teams will compete for only one spot in the playoffs of the MLBB Championship Tour SEA 2026.
The two teams that finish in 1st and 2nd place in the tournament will earn slots in the main stage of M8, while 3rd and 4th place will allow their owners to participate in the international championship’s wild-card round. The prize pool for the MCT SEA 2026 will be $500,000.
The MLBB Championship Tour SEA 2026 will take place from December 9 to 13 in a LAN format in Bangkok, Thailand. Twelve teams from the Southeast Asia region will compete for four invitations to the M8 World Championship and a prize pool of $500,000.
