Ospreay commented on Team Yandex’s third-place finish at the MLBB Continental Championships Season 8
Team Yandex coach Vladimir “Ospreay” Gonchar, in an interview on the official Russian-language broadcast of the MLBB Continental Championships Season 8, explained the reason for their loss in the lower bracket final.
I think we prepared well, actually. From a preparation standpoint, I have no complaints, but there were a lot of unforced errors—precisely because of nerves, I think, at certain moments—which had a huge impact on the game. Even on that fourth map, where we had a huge lead, a string of unforced errors just “sealed our fate.”
Yandex lost to Aurevia Team 2–3 during the final day of competition for MCC Season 8, held in Moscow. Both teams secured slots in the Wildcard stage of the M8 World Championship, while Team Spirit, which took first place, advanced to the main stage of the upcoming championship.
Currently, the “Geese” are competing in BETBOOM Rise of Legends Season 11. The online tournament will run through November 15, with a prize pool of five million rubles. In a month, on December 17, the group stage of the M8 Wildcard stage will begin.
