Natus Vincere captain Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen spoke in an interview at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 following their loss to MOUZ, and also reflected on his team’s struggles and its standing on the pro scene.

On the loss to MOUZ

Nothing is going right; our gameplay feels off. During the match, we won the pistol rounds, but we couldn’t build on that lead and lost the force buys. Nothing is working for us right now, and it’s very disappointing.

On Natus Vincere’s problems

I think the problem is a lack of confidence and the absence of a winning mindset. We’re losing too much right now. In practice, we show flashes of hope and strong team structure, but in official matches, things just aren’t going our way. Even today, we won the first map and had chances to win on Inferno, but we couldn’t close out the match.

On the team’s current situation

I think the whole team is under immense pressure right now. We’re aware of our situation and understand that we risk missing out on future Tier 1 tournaments... But, to be honest, with this kind of play, we don’t deserve a Major invite. We need to pull ourselves together and move forward. Right now, things look bleak.
