Natus Vincere captain Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen spoke in an interview at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 about his team’s slump, assessed their current form, and outlined the main goals of the “born to win” squad.
Everyone knows that our team has a very extensive playbook. We endlessly discuss the same situations, so we’re familiar with both our best form and our ability to lose to just about anyone. It’s hard to pinpoint the exact reason for the slump—it could be small things or disappointments... Right now, we’re trying to bring something new to our style and are giving it our all in every match.
We definitely need to play more official matches. After boot camp, we got off to a decent start, but then everything went awry. It’s great to participate in tournaments like this—here we can play against strong opponents and analyze our mistakes. It’s important for us to build confidence, improve our system, and be in good form for the upcoming tournaments.
I think our main goals right now are to find our identity, play CS consistently well, and prove to ourselves that we’re capable of being the best. I hope we can perform at a high level in this tournament and make it to the finals again.
Yesterday, Natus Vincere lost to Aurora Gaming in the upper bracket quarterfinals of the StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 with a score of 0–2 on maps. Aleksib’s team is currently facing off against MOUZ in a do-or-die match to avoid elimination from the LAN tournament.
