Aurora Gaming rifler Yimi “Jimpphat” Salo shared his thoughts in an interview at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 following the victory over Natus Vincere, assessed his performance on the Nuke map, and reflected on his personal progress with the new team.
On the victory over Natus Vincere
I’m very happy about the win. I can say that it’s not easy to start a tournament with a match against an opponent like NAVI. Our team prepared a lot for this match. We want to show that we can play really well. This success will definitely give us confidence.
On his performance on Nuke
On Nuke, I barely saw our opponents at the start of rounds, but I made a big impact in post-plant situations and won several important clutch plays. I’m glad I was able to help the team win. I shot very well and contributed a lot of ideas. I think my teammates really had my back—they provided a lot of valuable information during the clutch moments.
On his personal progress at Aurora Gaming
I’m always working on getting better. Of course, it’s still too early to talk about major progress, but everything looks great right now. I feel very confident on this team. I need to keep training and improving on an individual level.
Yesterday, Aurora Gaming defeated Natus Vincere in their first match at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026 with a 2-0 map score. The team advanced to the upper bracket semifinals, where they’ll face NRG today.
