9z Team coach Bruno “BIT” Fukuda Lima and team captain Maximiliano “max” Gonzalez commented on their recent match against MIBR in an interview for the XSE Pro League 2026 and outlined their team’s challenges.
BIT: We knew how they think during a match and how they play, so our preparation was pretty straightforward. We’d faced them many times before. I myself was MIBR’s coach for three years and know insani and Brenno well.
max: They’re a very good team. We ran into some problems on the attack side of Mirage, but we talked it over. When we got to overtime, we told each other that we only needed one or two rounds to close out the map.
BIT: Yesterday was a very nerve-wracking match for us. We know we might be capable of winning this tournament, but when we started falling behind a team we shouldn’t have lost to, things got heated. Today, we had the mindset not to repeat yesterday’s situation.
max: We’ll be practicing and focusing on the maps we don’t play very well, including Mirage and Cache.
Earlier today, 9z Team advanced to the XSE Pro League 2026 playoffs after sweeping MIBR. Linus “LNZ” Holten’s team lost 10–13 on Nuke and 13–16 on Mirage, finishing the tournament in 9th–11th place and earning $27,500 in prize money.
