PGL has announced a tournament in China in 2027

Tournament operator PGL has announced a new Counter-Strike 2 event in China. The championship will take place from April 14 to 26, 2027, with a total prize pool of $1,000,000. The announcement was published on the tournament operator’s official website.
Sixteen teams will participate in the competition. Fourteen teams will receive direct invitations based on the global VRS ranking as of January 4, 2027. Two additional slots will be determined through European and Asian qualifiers.
The organizers also introduced the VRS Invite Bonus system. An additional $300,000 will be allocated for the tournament, which will be awarded to the top 5 teams in the VRS rankings that accept the invitation to the championship. Each such team will be able to earn a $60,000 bonus.
The tournament’s prize pool will be $1,000,000 and will be distributed as follows:
- 1st place — $280,000;
- 2nd place — $155,000;
- 3rd place — $115,000;
- 4th place — $90,000;
- 5th–8th place — $64,000 each;
- 9th–11th place — $28,000 each;
- 12th–14th place — $5,000 each;
- 15th–16th places — $2,500 each.
Earlier, PGL announced PGL Lodz 2027. The tournament will take place in Poland from March 18 to 28 in a LAN format. Sixteen teams will compete: 14 teams will receive direct invitations based on the VRS world ranking, and the remaining two spots will be decided through closed online qualifiers.
