sycrone on MOUZ: “It will take time for our results to become consistent.”

MOUZ coach Dennis “sycrone” Nielsen shared his thoughts on his team’s recent results in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, outlined the “Mice’s” current priorities, and spoke about the prospects of academy players.
On MOUZ’s recent results
Our team is unhappy that we currently have two losses. However, in those matches we faced two strong opponents and put up a tough fight against them. You shouldn’t expect our map pool to be perfect right away. A new player recently joined us, and on top of that, we’re currently implementing a new system and trying out the guys in different positions. It will take time for our results to become consistent.
On the team’s priorities
At this stage, we’re not fixated on mistakes. Of course, as a top team, we strive for perfection, but right now it’s much more important for us to address other issues. Are the players comfortable in their new positions? Are we playing the style we want to play? We’ll address minor flaws in our game, as well as roster issues, after the Major.
On academy players
Academy players are the future of the pro scene. They’re incredibly hungry for victory. I think they’re the ones we’ll be watching at the Tier 1 level in the coming years.
MOUZ lost to Team Vitality in the third stage of the IEM Cologne Major 2026 with a score of 1-2 in maps. Right now, the “Mice” are playing against FUT Esports—if they win, sycrone’s team will advance to the 2-2 bracket.
