Techno4K after The MongolZ’s elimination from the IEM Cologne Major 2026: “We did everything we could, but it didn’t work out.”

The MongolZ rifler Sodbayar “Techno4K” Munkhbold commented on the team’s elimination from the tournament in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, analyzed their loss to 9z Team, and shared his feelings following the disappointing performance.
On being eliminated from the Major
I don’t know what to say. It was very tough and difficult for us. At the last few Majors, we made it to the playoffs almost every time. This time, we weren’t able to qualify. So I’m a little disappointed in myself. But at the same time, I’m proud of my team because the guys fought until the very end. That’s why I’m proud of my team.
On the match against 9z Team
Actually, I think right from the start on Inferno—even during the pistol round—we had a lot of ideas. But we made the wrong calls. On top of that, we didn’t play that well individually, or as a team, for that matter. That’s why we lost on Inferno. Yesterday we looked confident, but today just wasn’t our day, I think.
On the team’s performance
I’m proud to be part of this impressive organization, a national organization. This time, our efforts weren’t enough to make it to the playoffs. We did everything we could, but it didn’t work out. We were also leading during the matches, winning games... How can I put this? We were winning maps, but somehow we let them slip away and allowed our opponents to come back into the game many times in recent tournaments. That’s very disappointing to me. Lately, this season, I’ve been playing very poorly. I have nothing else to say. I’m sorry.
