Analyst Duncan “Thorin” Shields commented on his personal X social media page about BC.Game Esports’ move to the Asian region and the team’s potential qualification for a Major.
There’s nothing wrong or suspicious about a team with three Asian players qualifying for a Major as an Asian team. If you think otherwise, what’s really driving you crazy is how easily Asian teams qualify. That’s a different issue altogether.
Valve could change the system so that qualifying for a Major requires spending an entire season in a specific region, but they haven’t done that. Oh well!
How awful that BC.Game Esports could make it to the Major with three Asian/Oceanian players and by playing LAN tournaments in Europe, instead of following the classic and time-honored traditional methods of the Asian region—participating in qualifiers where technical losses are rigged and matches against Tier 5 teams from Oceania are arranged.
Earlier, BC.Game Esports announced that Russian player Denis “electroNic” Sharipov had been moved to the bench of the Counter-Strike 2 roster. His spot on the roster was taken by Australian rifler Tyson “asap” Patterson.
