Team Vitality sniper Mathieu “ZywOo” Erbo, in an interview at the IEM Cologne Major 2026, discussed the challenges the team faced throughout the tournament and explained how the squad will prepare for the playoffs.
On Team Vitality’s challenges
We faced some excellent teams at this Major. At the same time, we didn’t play great CS, and I made too many individual mistakes. We weren’t coordinating well and weren’t playing as a team, so, of course, we often put ourselves in difficult situations. We need to find our rhythm again—the way we used to play.
On preparing for the playoffs
We need to prepare for the playoffs and get some rest. We also need to think about how to improve our game plan and individual play—that’s important if we want to win the Major. That’s our main goal.
Earlier, Team Vitality advanced to the playoffs of the IEM Cologne Major 2026. Dan “apEX” Madeskler’s team defeated BetBoom Team 2-0 in maps: 13-8 on Overpass and 13-11 on Nuke. On June 19, the “Bees” will face off against Team Falcons.
