Dukalis on a possible role change: “I’d switch to the ‘three.’”

PARIVISION captain Andrei Kuropatkin spoke on the club’s YouTube channel about his experience playing alongside his idols, discussed a possible role change, and talked about the impact of supports in the current Dota scene.
On playing with idols
I worked hard, strove to reach the top, and watched a lot of replays. And when people who were once, so to speak, my idols and role models start playing alongside me, —and I’m not just talking about Clement [Puppey], but also about Vova [No[o]ne-], who’s been playing Dota for a long time; I used to watch his games back when I was still in school—it’s a sign that I’m where I’m supposed to be. Still at the top, and that’s awesome.
On the difference in impact between carries and supports
Over the last 3–4 years, on the contrary, people have even started talking more about how someone is a “support diff.” It’s as if that term didn’t even exist 10 years ago. And in fact, the support’s contribution to the game is huge right now, and it seems to me that it even outweighs the core positions at the moment, because if your support isn’t doing something right, the game will be tough. Very tough.
On changing roles
I thought about it, but those were just, you know, silly thoughts. As for my own gameplay, I just couldn’t seem to win. And I’d think to myself: “*** [Damn], what a bunch of noobs I have on my team.” Maybe I should switch roles myself, and then *** [win]. Those were the only thoughts I had. And I would have switched to the “three” position, because it seems like there aren’t many good players there.
PARIVISION’s next match will take place as part of the European closed qualifiers for The International 2026—the team will face 4ikibamboni on June 22 at 8:00 p.m. Moscow time. Four teams will advance to the tournament based on the results of the qualifiers.
