We remember—and don’t like—how in 2018, Arc Warden clones were prevented from accumulating charges on Urn or Vessel, and then, whether by accident or not, these items were disabled altogether—the clone would always spawn these items with 0 charges, even if the main hero had 100.
This was done in the same patch when Meepo had the Pack Rat aspect. A radical solution that’s been used before: if something needs to be fixed, *** [we affect] all clones in the game, not just the one with the bug (for a long time, the real Arc Warden and MK couldn’t buy Basher because of this—it simply didn’t work).
The change regarding charges was tweaked—as a result, Meepo’s clones now receive the same number of Urn or Vessel charges as the main unit upon spawning or resurrection, and Dazzle’s clone can even collect charges on its own. Here, Arc Warden is left out in the cold—when a clone spawns, it starts with 0 charges and can’t collect them either.
However! There’s another bug here—they forgot about Distiller. It successfully copies when a clone spawns with the same charges.
Earlier, Team Spirit analyst Mark “sikle” Lerman shared his thoughts on the Tormentor’s changes in upcoming patches, recalled the developers’ past experiments with the item, and commented on a possible rework or the addition of bonuses.
