In their team vlog, Team Yandex players discussed Team Spirit and commented on their victory in the BLAST SLAM VIII Grand Final.
Adina: What do you think of Team Spirit’s new roster?
CHIRA_JUNIOR: Nine.
Adina: What’s wrong?
CHIRA_JUNIOR: Everything’s fine.
Adina: Was it better with Collapse?
CHIRA_JUNIOR: Definitely—Collapse is just a legend.
Adina: What do you think of Batyuk?
CHIRA_JUNIOR: He plays pretty well.
Adina: How would you rate him compared to other top offlaners?
CHIRA_JUNIOR: I wouldn’t rank him—he just plays okay.
Saksa: It was a tough series, and we’re glad we pulled it off. We were told that there weren’t any strong teams at the last tournament, but there are plenty in this one, and we’re happy to have earned this victory. It’s ATF’s first BLAST, which is great for them. It was a good final.
CHIRA_JUNIOR: It was incredibly satisfying to win—a real rush, especially against Team Spirit, the three-time champions of The International. It wasn’t that the games were easy; rather, they were tough at times. Spirit also move well around the map, but this time we simply outplayed them and outdrafted them.
ATF: I feel very happy and very grateful. I won BLAST, and last time I won PGL—the last remaining titles for me. It’s very emotional and awesome. I’m grateful to everyone who supports me. And even if you don’t support me, but support Team Yandex, you can even hate on me—it’s all good. Thank you, I appreciate it. I feel the energy—without it, I wouldn’t have the strength to keep playing, because I’m incredibly exhausted, so this is what keeps me going. Thanks for watching.
Malady: Our run at BLAST ended with a spectacular victory. Just this month, we won PGL Wallachia Season 9, followed by BLAST, and now another victory. I’m really happy for myself and our victory, and I’m very glad that a player like ATF has joined us. I don’t know if he was kidding me or not, but he said this was his first victory at BLAST—and at PGL, too. Thank you to everyone who cheered us on; I think this year has been very tough, very grueling—with many victories and quite a few defeats.
Team Yandex won BLAST SLAM VIII, defeating Team Spirit 3–1 in the grand final. The team earned $270,000 for their performance.
