Yandex defeated Liquid, and Spirit defeated Tundra in the BLAST Slam VII group stage
Team Yandex defeated Team Liquid, and Team Spirit defeated Tundra Esports on the first day of the BLAST Slam VII group stage.
Team Liquid couldn’t find a way to counter Alimzhan “watson” Islambekov’s Shadow Fiend and typed “GG” at the 28-minute mark. The match between Team Spirit and Tundra Esports was evenly matched, but the “Dragons” gradually pinned their opponents down on the map, leading them to victory.
Thus, Team Spirit secured its first win of the tournament, Team Yandex finished the day with a 2-0 record, Tundra Esports remains with two losses, and Team Liquid ended with a 1-1 record.

BLAST Slam VII is being held in two stages: the group stage takes place online, and the playoffs will begin offline in Copenhagen, Denmark. The twelve participating teams will share a prize pool of $1,000,000.
