The main character arrives in Snowfall, where they can obtain the power of the Cryo element. They can interact with the new Constellation Reactions mechanics and serve as either the main or secondary damage dealer in a team. In this guide, we’ll break down the best build, artifacts, weapons, and teams for Cryo main characters on any budget.

You can unlock the Cryo element 10–15 minutes after arriving in Snowfall.
A little further into the story, during the Archon quest “Merciless Frost,” the protagonist will receive a free five-star sword—the Blade of Enlightenment. This is the Traveler’s sign, which levels up as you progress through the game.
Travelers serve as either support or main damage dealers for the team. They work well with Star Reaction heroes because they, too, can turn regular reactions into Star Reactions.
Stats:

Once you obtain the Blade of Enlightenment, you should focus on upgrading it. However, if you haven’t reached that point in the story yet, consider options that boost critical hits or energy regeneration if your Traveler is a support for a greedy Cryo damage dealer.
A hero must have over 50% critical hit chance (excluding artifact passives), over 120% critical damage, and up to 150% energy regeneration to ensure they can cast their ultimate every rotation.
At the moment, there aren’t many characters in the game who have Star mechanics. You can also use the main character in regular parties, but it’s better to switch them to a more useful element—Pyro for damage, Geo for exploration, or Anemo for the Driver.
Normal Attack: Up to five rapid strikes.
Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of stamina and performs two swift sword swings.
Dive Attack: Swiftly plunges toward the ground, striking enemies along the way. Deals area-of-effect damage upon landing.
Deals Cryo damage to enemies in front and creates a Freezing Star nearby.
The Frost Star follows the active character and periodically fires ice crystals at nearby enemies, dealing Cryo damage.
Radiance – Star Conduit: The Frost Star stops periodically firing ice crystals. Instead, it performs a combo attack, firing one ice crystal every 0.2 seconds whenever the protagonist’s normal attack, charged attack, or diving attack hits an enemy. When an ice crystal hits, the Hero gains 1 level of Frost Radiance. This effect stacks up to 8 times. Out of combat, Frost Radiance fades after 30 seconds.
Using Cryo power, the protagonist creates an icy spear and hurls it at enemies, dealing Cryo damage multiple times. Using this skill consumes available levels of Frost Glow, which increase the damage of the elemental burst. If you spend 8 levels of Frost Radiance, the number of spear hits also increases.
Radiance – Starlight: Frost Spear deals Cryo damage, which counts toward the damage of the corresponding Starlight reactions.

Radiance – Star Conduit: While Frost Star is active, the Traveler’s normal attacks, charged attacks, and falling attacks begin to deal Cryo damage that cannot be negated by other infusions. Additionally, the damage of these attacks is increased by 80% of the Traveler’s attack power.
The Traveler’s Elemental Mastery increases by 8% of her Attack Power. The maximum bonus that can be obtained this way is 160.
For each elemental type with which a resonance has occurred, the Traveler gains additional buffs.
Charged Attack: Frozen Ice: The Cryo damage dealt is increased by 140% of the Traveler’s Attack Power. Additionally, she gains 2 levels of Frost Glow. Frozen Ice can be cast no more than once every 15 seconds.
The damage bonus from the first passive does not apply to Frozen Ice.
Aura – Starlight: Frozen Ice deals Cryo damage that counts toward the relevant Starlight reactions.
When the Traveler is in the Realm of the Guiding Star or within 8 seconds after nearby party members activate Star Scatter, she enters the Star Conduit or Star Scatter state, respectively.
If party members trigger the Superconductor or Cryo Dispersion reactions, Star Conductor or Star Dispersion will trigger instead. The base damage of these reactions increases by 0.35% for every 100 units of the Traveler’s Attack Power. The maximum damage bonus gained this way is 7%.
When Travelers deal damage with the Stardust reaction, they regain 5 Energy. This effect can trigger once every 0.5 seconds.
When an ice crystal from the Ice Mist Sword elemental skill hits an enemy, the active character’s Elemental Mastery increases by 60 for 5 seconds. If, while this effect is active, the character triggers the Starlight reaction or deals damage with it, Elemental Mastery is further increased by 120 points until the effect ends.
+3 to Elemental Burst level, max level — 15.
The duration of the Freezing Star created by this skill is increased by 25%.
+3 to skill level, max level — 15.
For each level of Frosty Radiance consumed when using Elemental Burst, the damage from Starry Radiance reactions of the other party members is increased by 5% for 15 seconds. The maximum damage bonus that can be obtained this way is 40%.
