League of Legends Patch 26.14 Overview
Update 26.14, released on July 15, 2026, was the first patch following the conclusion of the Mid-Season Invitational. Riot Games focused on balancing the meta ahead of the next part of the season: the developers adjusted the power levels of several popular champions, tweaked items, fixed bugs, and added new cosmetic content.
Key changes in this patch:
- The new champion, Lock, was nerfed after proving too powerful following his release;
- Corki, Mordekaiser, Nami, and Yunara have been buffed;
- Garen, Jayce, Senna, and Seraphine have been nerfed;
- The Blue Buff effect has been improved;
- The stats of several items have been adjusted, including the Hextech Rocket Belt;
- T1 champion skins celebrating the team’s victory at Worlds have been added to the game;
- Fixed bugs related to champions, items, and the game client.
The changes to Locket, Senna, Garen, and Corki will have the greatest impact on the competitive meta. According to Riot Games, the goal of the update is to reduce the effectiveness of dominant champions and strengthen those who have rarely appeared in ranked matches since MSI.

New League of Legends Champion
Lokk is League of Legends’ 173rd champion. He is a mobile mage-assassin for the mid lane, capable of quickly closing the distance, dealing high burst damage, and effectively finishing off weakened opponents. His gameplay revolves around stacking effects on targets, unleashing a series of rapid attacks, and applying constant pressure on the lane.
After his release, Lokk quickly became one of the most popular mid-lane champions, so Riot Games adjusted his balance. The developers reduced his ability to apply constant pressure on opponents by nerfing some of his abilities, but preserved his signature playstyle, which is based on high mobility and a series of quick kills.
Major Buffs and Nerfs in the Patch
Buffed:
- Korki — Attack damage growth has been increased and his ultimate’s cooldown has been reduced, allowing him to use his rockets more frequently and scale more effectively into the late game.
- Mordekaiser — Base stats have been buffed and ability effectiveness has been increased, making him more dangerous in lane and in prolonged fights.
- Nami — The effectiveness of her support abilities has been increased to bring her back into the meta after a decline in popularity.
- Yuna — Attack damage growth has been increased, allowing the champion to scale better as the game progresses.
- Azir — Interactions with items and runes have been fixed: on-hit effects, including “Liandry’s Torment” and “Hextech Alternator,” now function correctly, and “Conqueror” charges up faster. This significantly strengthens the champion without directly increasing damage.
Nerfed:
- Lokk — Wave-clearing efficiency has been reduced, and the new champion’s early-game pressure has been limited to reduce his dominance following his release.
- Garen — The damage of his ultimate ability, “Demacian Justice,” has been reduced, making it harder for him to finish off opponents with high health.
- Jace — Stats that allowed the champion to feel too confident in lane and during the early game have been nerfed.
- Senna — Healing, slow, and critical strike effectiveness have been reduced, diminishing her power as both an AD carry and a support.
- Seraphine — The ability power ratio of “High Note” has been reduced to lower her damage, especially when playing on the bottom lane.
