Vesna in Genshin Impact — Best Build, Guide, Weapons, Artifacts, Teams, and Everything Known

Gleb Brekhov
Genshin Impact

Spring is a 5-star Anemo swordswoman in Genshin Impact. She expands the new Snow-Star Reactions mechanic with a new reaction called Star Scatter. She’s the team’s main damage dealer for this new reaction and can work well with both new characters and those from previous patches. In this guide, we’ll break down the best build, artifacts, weapons, and teams for Spring for any budget.

Fun Facts

  • Name — Vesna;
  • Release — 7.1;
  • Element — Anemo;
  • Weapon — one-handed sword;
  • Birthday — unknown for now;;
  • Age — about 25;
  • Height — about 160–165 cm;
  • Favorite dish — TBD;
  • How to obtain: During the temporary banner event.

Vesna’s Release Date

Vesna and Vodianitsa will appear in Patch 7.1, which is expected to begin on September 23. It is currently unknown which hero will be featured in the first half of the banner.

Best Build for Spring

Spring is the main damage dealer for the Stellar Scatter mechanic. This mechanic activates when there are both Anemo and Cryo characters in the squad. Therefore, it’s worth assembling a specialized team for Spring.

Best Artifacts for Vesna

  • 4x Crimson Proof—a set designed specifically for Vesna and other Star Scatter damage dealers.
  • 2+2 Attack Power — until you’ve collected the full set.

Vesna has a signature artifact set, so if you plan to play her as a swordswoman in endgame content, you’ll need to farm it.

Statistics:

  • Sands: Attack Power;
  • Goblet: Attack Power;
  • Crown: Critical Chance / Critical Damage;
  • Additional Stats: Attack Power, Critical Chance, Critical Damage.

Spring’s Best Weapon

  • Spring’s Signature Sword — 647 Attack, 44.1% Critical Damage. When the owner activates a skill or triggers an elemental explosion, they gain Focus:
    • Burning Attention: +45% critical damage for 10 seconds;
    • Charming Focus: +28% Star Scatter damage for 10 seconds;
    • Radiant Focus: +3 Energy.

Effects trigger in order.

  • Mist-Cutting, Precious Pool, Haran Geppaku Futs, and other 5-star swords that boost critical chance and critical damage can be used, but not all of their passives are useful for Spring. However, high base attack and critical hits will help balance her stats.
  • Heretic’s Molten Blade—a weapon from the BP that works well with the ability to move quickly;
  • Wolf’s Fang—another weapon from the BP that will allow her to increase skill damage and elemental burst damage;
  • A four-star attack-focused weapon—suitable if there are no other options.

How many stats does Vesna need to build?

Vesna is the main damage dealer, so she needs to reach 50% critical chance (excluding artifact set bonuses) and over 150% critical damage. You’ll need to reach around 2,700 Attack Power, which is easy to achieve thanks to the Attack% Cup and buffs from support characters.

Best Teams for Vesna

  • Vesna, Odette, Sucrose, Water Spirit;
  • Vesna, Odette, Cryo GG, Water Spirit;
  • Vesna, Cryo GG, Sucrose, Diona.

There may be other Star Scatter support damage dealers in the future, but for now, the only options in the game are Cryo Traveler and Odette. You can also use Rosaria, Diona, or other Cryo characters with useful skills until new heroes are released.

Leveling Up Spring

To reach Level 90, you’ll need:

  • Vayuda Turquoise of various rarities—a material dropped by Anemo element bosses;
  • Material from the new boss that will appear in 7.1;
  • Golden Fern—a Snowland rarity;
  • Ether Crystals of various rarities—materials from Alvs;

For talents, you will need:

  • Teachings, Instructions, and Philosophy of Glory;
  • Tainted Sprout—a material from the weekly boss Dottore in Sumeru;
  • Crown of Insight—a rare material obtained through events and offerings.

Spring Skills

Normal Attack — Light Step

Normal Attack: Up to 6 consecutive strikes.

Charged Attack: Consumes a certain amount of stamina to leap into the air and deliver a swift kick forward.

Dive Attack: Swiftly plunges toward the ground, striking all enemies in its path. Deals area-of-effect damage upon landing.

Elemental Skill — Spirit Blade: Awakening

Deals area-of-effect damage around Anemo. She then enters the Spirit Blade state and gains two Spirit Blade Power orbs.

Spirit Blade: Spring’s normal attack, charged attack, and Dive Attack begin to deal Anemo damage that cannot be negated by other infusions. She also summons a Spirit Feather, which attacks enemies and deals Anemo damage. Each time the Spirit Feather hits, Vesna restores Spirit Blade Power.

Vesna can expend Spirit Blade Power when activating her special elemental skill: along with Spirit Blade, she deals Anemo damage to the enemy. Each use of a special elemental skill while the same Spirit Blade Power is active increases its level from Spirit Blade: Thrust to Spirit Blade: Plunge, and then to Spirit Blade: Dance.

Resistance to Spring interrupts is increased while in the Spirit Blade state. Upon exiting this state, all Spirit Blade Power is removed.

Radiance — Stellar Scatter: Spirit Blade becomes Stellar Spirit Blade, which deals damage to Anemo enemies that counts as Stellar Scatter damage.

Spirit Blade: Dance can be activated up to 3 times while the same Spirit Blade is active. After the third activation, Spring immediately exits the Spirit Blade state.

Elemental Burst — Spirit Blade: Explosion

Vesna summons a multitude of Spirit Blades, then creates a spectacular Spirit Blade: Explosion in front of her, dealing area-of-effect Anemo damage to enemies and restoring one Spirit Blade Power orb.

Radiance — Stellar Dispersion: The Spirit Blade transforms into a Stellar Spirit Blade and deals damage to Anemo enemies, which counts as Stellar Dispersion damage.

Passive Skills

1. Stellar Triumph: Radiant Alv

When party members trigger Cryo Scatter, the reaction is converted to Star Scatter. The base damage of Stellar Dispersion is increased by 0.7% for every 100 of Vesna’s Attack Power. The maximum damage bonus obtained in this way is 14%. Additionally, when Vesna is near an Anemogranum created by Stellar Dispersion, she enters the Radiant: Stellar Dispersion state.

2. Duration

After using Spirit Blade: Lunge, Spirit Blade: Plunge, Spirit Blade: Dance, or the elemental explosion Spirit Blade: Explosion, Vesna gains 1 level of Endurance. The effect lasts 20 seconds and can stack up to 6 times. After activating Spirit Blade: Emergence or when Spring leaves the battlefield, all accumulated Endurance levels are lost. Each Endurance level increases the damage of all Spirit Blades and Star Spirit Blades by 10% of the base value, up to 160% of the base damage.

3. Mastery

Radiance — Stellar Scatter: Depending on the elemental types of the characters in the party, including Spring, the heroine gains the following buffs:

  • Each Cryo or Anemo character increases Spring’s Attack by 6%.
  • Each character of a different elemental type increases Spring’s Elemental Mastery by 25.

4. Light as a Feather

Outside of combat, Spring can enter the “March” state in two ways—by sprinting or jumping. This activates the corresponding effects:

  • Jumping allows her to soar rapidly, consuming Stamina.
  • Sprinting allows her to dash a short distance and also consumes Stamina.
  • When using an elemental skill or a normal attack with a quick tap, Spring ends her “Ascent” state. If she uses a normal attack with a quick tap while in the air, she will perform a falling attack.
  • During a single March, Vesna can take up to 3 jumps, including the initial jump when entering this state.

Additionally, if you switch the active character in Snowfield to Vesna while she is in the air (outside of combat), she will activate “Glorious Exit” and immediately enter the “Ascent” state. Afterward, she will not consume Stamina for 50 Stamina units. “Brilliant Exit” can be activated once every 10 seconds.

Spring’s Constellations

Constellation 1

While in the Spirit Blade state, the number of available uses of Spirit Blade: Dance increases by 1. Additionally, the first use of Spirit Blade: Dance while in this state does not consume Spirit Blade Power. Additionally, while the Spirit Blade state is active, the damage of Spring’s Stellar Dispersion is increased by 20%.

Constellation 2

The second passive gains an additional effect: when Spring enters the Spirit Blade state, she instantly reaches the maximum number of Endurance levels. Furthermore, when at the maximum number of Endurance levels, Spring’s attack power increases by 60%.

Constellation 3

+3 to skill level; max level is 15.

Constellation 4

The effects of the third passive skill are amplified by 200%.

Constellation 5

+3 to ultimate level, max level — 15.

Constellation 6

For 5 seconds after using Spirit Blade: Spring Dance, you can quickly tap an elemental skill or normal attack to use Spirit Blade: Stride:

  • Deals 150% of Attack Power as Anemo damage and summons a Star Spirit Blade, dealing 200% of Attack Power as Anemo damage. This damage counts as Star Scatter damage.
  • If Vesna is in the Spirit Blade state at this moment, the attack additionally summons a Spirit Feather.

Spirit Star Blades created by “Stride” also receive a buff from Ascension Talent 1. Additionally, Vesna’s Star Scatter damage is increased by 20%.
