Epic Games has unveiled the “Treasure Hunters” season in Fortnite, which begins on November 1. Characters and abilities from the One Piece anime will appear in the game. In addition, content featuring rappers A$AP Rocky and Lil Uzi Vert, as well as virtual singers Hatsune Miku and Kasane Teto, will be added.
“Battle Royale” matches will take place on the new “Skull & Bones Island” map, designed for 80 players. It will feature Arlong Park and the Mill Village from One Piece. Players will be able to move around the island by firing themselves out of cannons, use Luffy’s Rubber-Rubber Fruit abilities, and fight in Zoro’s three-sword style. Treasure will also be hidden throughout the map, including loot from Captain X’s mega chest.
Every week, a new captain will appear on the island with their own crew and a unique attraction. First up will be the Straw Hat Pirates and A$AP Rocky, followed by Lil Uzi Vert, a pirate version of Hatsune Miku, and Kasane Teto. One of the new locations will be A$AP Rocky’s battleship. A new weapon is also associated with it—a shock rocket that allows players to attack enemies from above.
The Battle Pass will include Portgas D. Ace and Nico Robin from One Piece, as well as new anime versions of Jonesy, the Hug Squad Captain, and Charlotte. When you gift a Battle Pass to a friend, both players will receive an additional outfit style for the Dark Kawaii Captain.
Luffy, Nami, and Usopp will appear in the item shop at the start of the season, while A$AP Rocky will arrive on November 6 at 3:00 a.m. Moscow Time. Zoro, Sanji, and Chopper will arrive on November 7; Lil Uzi Vert on November 12; Buggy on November 13; and Kasane Teto and Vocaloid Hatsune Miku on November 14.
Throughout the season, “Captain Days” will take place in “Battle Royale,” during which new weapons, perfumes, and other content will appear on the map. The first such day will begin on November 1 at 5:00 p.m. Moscow Time, with the remaining ones taking place on November 7, 12, 14, and 21. In addition, the developers will host “Mastery Mondays” and “Treasure Sundays”: these events will allow players to receive a Captain’s weapon at the start of each match, increasing the number of loot drops.
Earlier, on October 17, Fortnite launched a collaboration with “Hotel Hazbin,” adding various items related to the animated series to the store.
